Our own history with tea began five decades ago with the start of J.V.Gokal & Co.' a Trading House, recognized by the Indian Government, established in 1952 by Mr. Jagjivan Gokal.

Initially dealing in agricultural commodities, tea has become the primary focus of the group. Exports of our own Brands as well as the Private labels of our own clients has made the name "GOKAL" synonymous with a high level of quality and service.

Our export markets today include a number of the CIS countries particularly Russia and Kazakhstan, the Far East and Africa.
Progress is being made in developing a presence in North America and in Europe thereby strengthening its unrivalled network in the tea industry.

Our vision is a simple one – to be one of the biggest producer of tea bag tea , recognized for quality and level of client service par excellence. A vision that successive generations at J V Gokal have all aspired to.

In pursuit of attaining this we have strategically established our presence in key areas of the tea producing regions, with our administrative offices located in Mumbai and New Delhi. These two act to coordinate efforts between our regional offices in Indian , Sri Lanka, Kenya, Malawi and in Dubai. This network not only allows us access to a fascinating range of teas but to also ensure that we are able to live up to all our clients’ expectation in terms of quality, delivery and service
